The Beckford and Talbot Coffee Making Competition 2013 the competition was held at The Beckford Arms on Thursday 1st August where competing Teams, The Talbot and The Beckford had the chance to showcase their skills, knowledge and talent in making that perfect cup of coffee.  Competitors had 10 minutes to produce 1 espresso, 1 cappuccino, 1 latte, 1 macchiato and finally, 1 liqueur coffee.  The lucky winner won an all-expenses paid night at The Talbot Inn or Beckford Arms for 2 with a 3 course meal and a bottle of house wine.

The guys really did feel the pressure as they nervously rose to the challenge to be judged by managing director of Darlingtons Coffee Hugo Hardman and chief trainer Marcin.

The competition was tough but we have our winner from Team Beckford…

Congratulations goes to John Peacocke, our 2013 champion coffee maker. Go Team Beckford!
