The Mistress and the Blind ( Aetheria and Evana)
A ruined, dilapidated fort tucked within the mountains near the capital city of Skyrim, Solitude. The harsh winds blew against the aging stone, wearing a bit more away with each passing year. It stood as a solitary monument, a beacon in the storm. Within it’s cold dark hallways and rooms there was stillness, just rats call the upper levels home. Deeper still, past dank sewers and catacombs the air suddenly becomes cleaner. The walls less wet, and lit torches line its lengths. Farther on it goes into more lavish hallways till it reaches the grand room. A cistern-turned-throne room, elegantly decorated with the richest fabrics and most comfortable furniture. The running waterfalls add a perfect backdrop. Corridors going to either side and many rooms are off of the main chamber.
A hundred or so people, vampires of all races preform all matters of debauchery on the many pieces of furniture and tables. Naked serving men and women bring refreshments to all in the form of fresh blood. The air is thick with smoke and tastes of moon-sugar. At the far end of the cistern, is a set of stairs leading up to a platform at the far wall. Thin satin cloth and finest silken curtains obscure a wooden throne with a form seated in it. From the door at the other end, four men with long hair and wearing dark blackened steel armor and cloaks march through the throngs to kneel at the edge of the stone steps. ” My Mistress, we have found an intruder upon our sanctuary. Shall we dispose of them for you?” There is a long pause before a velvet, enchanting voice spoke from behind the curtain. “Bring them here, Tartus.”
