Famed author #PeterStraub passed away. RIP. Back in 1984, my friend who loved horror movies would talk about this new book #TheTalisman. Mr Straub co-wrote it w/ #StephenKing. He encouraged me to read it. I never did. So I knew of him but never read him. I recently read @emmaStraub’s novel #ThisTimeTomorrow that features the characters relationship with her father who is also a well known author. And time travel. I ❤️ the book. That’s when I found out that Emma’s real life dad was Peter Straub. I told my friend about his passing & his daughter who also grew up to be a famed author. Our talks transported us back to that time. The same ages as the Stranger Things kids. With his renewed encouragement, I went to my library & borrowed a copy. I’m excited to dive into his world.
