#TheTastingForkInLucknow Started travels for 2018 with exploring Lucknow with ze parents. Stayed at the luxurious newly opened @hgilucknow, and loved my decision! This is on the first night- mom and I enjoying @chandonindia Rosé, watching TV, while dad makes his drink. Perfect start to the year! P.S. #TheTastingForkInLucknow A place you should just not miss when in Lucknow is Dastarkhwan. Blindly order anything off the menu and it will be extraordinary. One such thing is this Chicken Curry. Coarse, not overtly oily as you would imagine, goes well with anything-roti or biryani, and is full of flavour! My best meal in Lucknow ✨ (at Dastarkhwan)

#TheTastingForkInLucknow Dahi Tikki at Shukla Chaat, Hazratganj . You're missing out on a great deal if you haven't been to Shukla Chaat. Chaat that's delicious beyond imagination, and there's not one ounce of exaggeration in this. Also, just FYI, tikki is my favourite kind of chaat. A coarse-textured chicken gravy with chicken chunks that are extremely soft (to the point of being beginning mashed), coconut based, and extraordinary in taste! Perfect to go with rumali 😍 I am back but my heart is still in Lucknow ❤️ (at Dastarkhwan)

#TheTastingForkInLucknow Kachori Chhole at Bajpayee Kachori, Hazratganj . This place has been here since 1975, and is run by the third generation now. Had a good long chat with the second generation owner, Balkishan Bajpayee, and with a deep sense of pride he told me of his two daughters and a son, and their story. "Even after being an engineer, my son likes to come and take care of the shop", he said with a glint in his eyes. . The kachori is actually a poori, thick on the bottom and thin and crisp on the top. Round and fluffy, eaten with Chhole (in the picture) and kickass sookhe aloo which are very very spicy but so delicious! They do this poori all day long, and khasta kachori only in the mornings. #TheTastingForkInLucknow Here's a glimpse of how outstanding the food at @hiltongardeninn Lucknow was. Sheermal, Parantha, Dal and Mutton Rogan Josh. Just by looking at the saffron flavoured thick sheermal and the flaky buttery crisp Parantha you can imagine how incredible they would taste. Out of this world! (at Hilton Garden Inn Lucknow)
