Rose nervously tapped her fingers on her knee as she sat in the waiting room of the New Beginnings Counseling Center. She didn't want to be there, she'd rather be anywhere else in the world, but she'd promised her mum that she'd come. Also, the hospital wouldn't have agreed to release her otherwise. It was part of the arrangement they'd made so that Rose could go home and not have to be admitted into a ward there so they could keep watch on her.

She felt like the whole therapy thing was going to be pointless. She didn't need to talk about her past and what all she'd got up to when she was with Jimmy Stone. Her business was her own, and if she wanted anyone to know, she would tell them. She didn't see any kind of need for her to drag all of her skeletons out of the closet for a complete stranger. He wouldn't understand anyway. No one ever did.

She was just about to ditch her agreement and just leave when a door opened and a man called her name. She cringed. If she would have just stood up a little faster, she could have been out of here by now.

After letting out a deep sigh, Rose stood up, her eyes going to the floor as she made her way over to the man. If there was one thing Rose didn't do, it was talk about her emotions. This meeting was going to be terrible, she could already tell.
