Colinium Picks! 5 Bold Ties For Spring
Ties are the easiest way to make a standard look stand out. If you're going bold with the tie, just make sure to go neutral with the rest of your look. Here are 5 picks that stand out this spring.
It's An Emerald City; Fall's Most Fashionable Color
Emerald green is quite a thing on the scene. The color looks great on most guys, so it translates well into an easy color to pull off. Here’s a few of our favorite green things.
The hunt begins:
Last week I walked into Barney's and saw this woven blue and double silver stripe tie on display. I believe it was 3" in width, which is about as wide as I like to go. The price was a bit too steep (by which I mean so steep that it would burn 75% of my monthly budget). It's made by Barney's and they often go on sale but this tie is so fantastic that I don't anticipate finding it at the warehouse sale for 40 dollars in September.
I'd love to own it. It's simple but elegant, muted yet eye-catching. I want it, and I know that any cheaper alternative won't leave me entirely satisfied, but would make me relatively happy. If anybody could help me get a hold of something reasonably priced but similar, I'd be very grateful.
JACKPOT! Seriously, I will always get my bow ties on here and nowhere else!! =D
The Perfect Knot
I've been living in Chicago my whole life, and the one thing I've noticed over the years is men tying their ties. Gentlemen, like anything else when your suiting up, its "attention to detail" Whether its the tailoring, fitting of your shirt, pocket square, etc, attention to detail is key! Taking that extra 30 seconds in the morning to make that knot perfect goes a long way gents.
