As everyone should be fleeing Miami & S Florida as a "nuclear" hurricane barrels toward the state, please don't forget about Lolita/ Tokitae. She will be left behind as staff evacuates. She will be left alone in her tiny tank with zero protection from hurricane Irma. Her tank so tiny & shallow (20'at it's deepest) that when her natural instinct kicks in she can not even dive down to protect herself. 🙏 She will see & hear all of Irma's wrath. She will see the lightening & hear the thunder. She will see & hear all the debris that flies around her & potential lands in her tank. The transformers will explode, the power will go on and off. She will be there on her own. The #miamiseaquarium continues to let this poor isolated orca whale down.... 47 yrs they have held her in captivity & this isn't her first hurricane. Why is there no plan in place for her? Why is she just left behind? She did not ask for this life. She cannot do anything to protect herself. She should be swimming in the North Pacific with her pod, right now. Her freedom was stolen from her at just age 4 & the ones that took her from her family & her home care so little about her that can not offer her protection when she needs it. I know there are so many amazing people out there that care & love her. If she survives this storm we must make sure that she will never have to go through another hurricane. She must be freed & returned to her family. I can not get Lolita off my mind, she is so smart & I cant imagine her fear, she is trapped in that tank with hell going on above and all around her. 🙏 If you are still supporting #seaworld #miamisaquarium #thetodayshow & animal captivity of any kind, there is something wrong with you. You need to get yourself checked. Take your money & go experience these creatures in the wild, it is life altering, it is educational it is where they belong. Stop supporting these "entertainment" parks, they are only profiting from you, you are not learning anything...except that is okay to keep animals locked up. 🙏 Right now nothing can be done for Lolita, all we can do is wait & see how bad the impact is.
