I'm surprised I haven't seen anything about this.we all talk about how he emotionally abused feyre with his ignorant behavior,but that dude exploden on feyre twice, first in acomaf where she learns she can shield, he didn't know that and still he did it and not to mention the state feyre was in both mentally and physically and that asshole EXPLODED in his study. So here's my theory on the context of this quote. I think Feyre is going through something really tough at the spring court and she has a mental breakdown and things just get bad But then our lovely spy Azriel is snooping around and sees her troubled He only has a moment to speak, so this is what he says Maybe he doesn't even speak to her at all. Maybe he said this in a note that he hid for her somewhere. It could also be a note from really anyone in the Night Court.

I just want to bring attention to something one of my friends mentioned today. We were discussing the acotar series (as we normally do). But she came up with a new theory: what if Lucien and Elain aren’t actually mates, but he only shouted it out, not to tell Elain, but to help Feyre. If Feyre’s sisters are with Rhys and one also happens to be Lucien’s mate, Tamlin will be more likely to go against Rhys (which will bring him in contact with Feyre darling). But it will also take a target off of Feyre’s back. Not only will she have another fake reason to hate Rhys, but it will also bring Tamlin’s attention to Lucien who will probably fight him to all ends of the earth to get Elain back. But it would all be fake, and Feyre would have time to do spy things and get in contact with the Night Court. Plus, it would mean an alliance between Feyre and fox boy which is good for all of our precious children.
