Why bother... Both of their stories where different, he was sure, and Felix would have been in the wrong. He always is... But Mason won’t kill a man he took the time to bring back from the dead. The same man, that based off what he’s gathered, would sell him out just as he himself had tied to do to Locus.

“Shut up, drink.” This didn’t sound like an order, much less with the way he sat in an empty, small wooden crate next to Felix’s folded out colt, face glued to the screen in hopes he’d finally get a message telling him the information he needed. “I hope the both of you can settle being apart, we cant stay here... He’s close, and it is exactly why you need to quit the attitude and focus on healing.”

The novelty had worn off when he realized that it was just another word for something other people could have but he couldn’t. Oh, he had a name alright, ‘Isaac Gates’ curling right across his forearm until burns faded it away until it was almost invisible against the scarring, but his father had made it very clear when his name first appeared that he’d never meet them. The joys of being heir to a company, it didn’t matter what he wanted because the company always came first. Up to and including marrying someone who wasn’t his soulmate.

But that was years ago and while he wasn’t in danger of an arranged marriage anytime soon, his outlook on the whole issue hadn’t changed. It wasn’t worth it to wish for a soulmate when he had his team to revenge. He didn’t plan on living through it anyway. He did feel a bit sorry for the soulmate he never met but he had to do this. Maybe...maybe just maybe if he had met them things would be different now. Or at least he wouldn’t be so willing to die.So it didn’t even occur to him why Felix asking what his name was might be important. That Felix might have managed to see the almost invisible name on his forearm, hidden by the burns. Or that he’d have access to his file which would list his real name but still had to check to be sure. All he knew was that he still wasn’t a fan of questions. “I don’t go by that name anymore. It’s either Sharkface, or I punch you in the face.”

It’d been a long day and honestly he just wanted to relax and then fall asleep for the rest of the week. So he’d drawn himself a bath, something he rarely cared to do, settled in and leaned back against the wall of the tub and closed his eyes. He was just at the point of sleep when a noise dragged back him back to awareness, and his eyes snapped open when another body joined him in the tub.

“What the fuck- Felix?!” He was more startled than anything else, staring at the other man in confusion.
