*screeches* Dobermans are the bomb, you are too lucky! Great to hear that your Mom is helping you out as well, I will keep on hoping that you get this place *Crosses fingers tighter for you*
Thanks, Dude! Other roommate is also bringing a hairless cat with her which I'm pretty stoked about as well :) I just hope we can all get money/forms in on time since it's essentially a first come - first served sorta basis

They are definitely adorable! :D
And I would highly recommend learning about mushrooms (of course), haha. :D May I suggest some good mushroom books?
- Fungi by Heather Angel (to get familiar with the very basics of fungi)
- Mushrooms & Toadstools - The Illustrated Guide to Fungi by Thomas Laessoe
- Mushrooms Demystified by David Arora
- Mushrooms And Toadstools In Colour (I couldn't actually find the author of this one)
- Mushrooms and Toadstools - How To Find And Identify Them (I couldn't find the author of this one either)
- The Complete Encyclopedia of Mushrooms by Gerrit J. Keizer
There are others I would recommend, but they are all based on mushrooms in Australia, so I thought I better keep it simple.
Also /any/ mushroom books you find that are secondhand and quite old are often really good. You just have to cross reference sometimes since the information is older and sometimes outdated.
There is also a mushroom identification app you can get if you have an iPhone/iPod touch called 'RogersMushrooms' which is so, so, so helpful if you've found a mushroom out in the field and want to identify it straight away. The answers aren't always completely accurate due to location, but it's always a good starting point to finding out your mushroom's species/genus. If you don't have an iPhone, I'm pretty sure he also has a website with the same identification tools and such you can use.
Sorry, I get a bit excited when people say they want to learn mushroom things. xD
I know I have a few fellow fungi-fans (try and say that 5 times really fast!) following me who know of some good books. Are there any other mushroom books you guys would recommend for this wonderful human?
The long as fuck video I made last night talking about things
body modifications, halloween make up, independence, etc
Also said hello to a few people at the end, which I'll put in the tags

I hope it goes as smoothly as possible, hang in there my dear *sends you lots of strength and positive energy*
Thanks, J, you're always the best and too kind to me ~ If you're feeling up to it I think you should come by the show. Tickets should still be available at Vertigo Records on Rideau st for $10 and if not then you can pay $13 at the door. It's at The Rainbow Bistro on Murray St and the doors open at 8pm I believe. TOTALLY understand if you don't feel comfortable coming out, but I figured I'd let you know since you're awesome and actually live sorta in Ottawa hahah it's a horror punk/thrash punk show, not sure if you're into that, but their shows are always a wicked awesome time

*gasps in horror* How did he not know of this movie!? :o
He was raised under the rock known as Stittsville hahaha in the 2 years I have known him now, I have made him watch many movies he just hadn't gotten around to seeing yet. But he seriously had never even heard of Carrie before. I mentioned that it was a classic horror, the pigs blood at the prom, everything and he was clueless
