Death wasn't as Fi had calculated. A loss of consciousness surely meant the loss of all feeling and awareness, but over the years she had found herself to be slightly aware of the changes around her, of the many who grabbed the blade she resided in and attempted to pull it and wield it. Only few had succeeded with pulling it, those few with that familiar aura that she was bound to serve.
Had he needed her assistance once more? Was he lost in a time of need and she was unable to come to his call? Every time that aura wrapped around the hilt, she stirred in an attempt to awaken for one she was destined to serve, but each time the ropes of eternal sleep were too strong for her semi-conscious mind to fight against. If she knew what 'hope' was as a feeling, she would conclude that she hoped for his well being and safety. She would also conclude her apologetic feelings for not being able to wake upon his command once more and hope that he could forgive her.
But she lacked the data to understand those concepts.
He'd been holding her again recently, he fought with her and she accepted him as she always would... But he never placed her back in her pedestal unlike the other times, was he trying to call out for her help? Wishing that she would awaken the longer he held onto her, in desperate need of her guidance. It was her duty to serve him... She had to awaken.
Her struggle as long, fighting with those ropes of sleep that bound her, but she never gave up. He needed her and she would come at his call even if it drained away her whole existence in the process. Eventually, old ropes became withered and snapped at her tugs, setting her free from the sleep she had been placed under but yet leaving her drained and exhausted as she finally met the light of the world once more with a strange whistling sound as the sword she resided in emitted the colour that dominated her appearance.
Her appearance was far from graceful, much unlike her last, leaving her delicate body curled up on the ground. But she was awake once more... Well, not fully, but she was in the realm of the living once again. With her master who she could serve once more...
