The Cowsills "The Very Best of..." LP. I suppose my old man instilled my love of pop music in me. Even stuff I tried to resist. Like The Cowsills. This was his album. I didn't fall in love with their all time classic "The Rain, the Park & Other Things" till a few years ago, a few years even after my pops croaked. When I was reading my Jan Berry mega biography earlier this year the name Artie Kornfeld was often mentioned as a co-writer of Jan & Dean songs, so I was amused to see he was the co-author of this monster too. Apparently he was also the co-organizer of Woodstock. Busy dude. But yeah, Canton's own, The Cowsills, are pretty alright. I can't help like what I like and I suppose I'm a bit of a dork. But at least I'm legit 😎 Also, "The Rain, The Park..." sounds stupid good on my system.
