Rules: list 15 things that make you happy, and then tag 15 people
Sheesh, 15 things and 15 folk? Hmm
1. Books, always a good book. Especially Tolkien, as I happen to adore Tolkien so very much. Brings back fond memories and its something I spent a lot of time bonding with my Dad over.
2. Comics, I'm quite the geek in general but comics is something that recently I got back into fairly heavily, it probably leans into the book thing, but I quite like exploring the adventures of the X-Men or Spidey and even Tony Stark/Iron Man
3. My guitar(s). Love just mindlessly sitting and noodling with them and just making a new tune here and there or sitting and playing along to a few favourites.
4. Music, nothing brings me more peace than music at times, and will be something I shall look forward to having on fairly loud on future roadtrips I plan on undertaking once I can drive. Need to get that sorted actually
5. My family, sometimes they can do no more than annoy the living daylights out of me, but the other times I couldn't change them for anything, especially my old man, I couldn't think of a better man and a man that I would aspire to be alike than him.
6. Memories, I know its not a wise thing to sit and think about things from the past, but I often find myself doing this and just thinking about particular moments. It's nice to be reminded of them for a short while. Just, I wouldn't recommend doing this for too long. It sucks after a short while.
7. Spitfires. Well, what else do I really need to say about them. Oh, and clipped wing'd Spits as well
8. Spitfire MkXIVe RW388. I know this is a cheat, but when I'm feeling particularly low, I'll go and visit the Cities resident Spitfire in our museum and just look at her for a good amount of time. Her presence just makes me so happy and just running my fingers over those clipped wings, well it sure is something. She's a beauty, even in her decrepit state.
9. My friends, be them over the internet or in real life friends. In fact, some of my internet friends have been better than my actual friends in recent times. So to you guys, I raise my hat and a drink.
10. A good whiskey/bourbon/scotch. Every so often I enjoy a tipple of any of the aforementioned.
11. Airfix. Always loved doing this, and I started again recently, and really need to getting to finishing my model 1:72 MkIa Spitfire, even bought a whole load of fancy stuff for it to make it look all pretty.
12. A good TV show. I've been enjoying the fact there has been a whole load of great shows that have really interested me recently.
13. My mountain bike, love getting out on that thing, full face helmet on and just throwing myself, and it, down a trail... and not crashing. Not crashing is always good.
14. Generally being outside, playing football with the lads from work, post Friday shift, going for a walk all that kind of business.
15. York, I adore this city oh so much. Would love to live there one day.
now, 15 folk is going to be bloody difficult. sod it, that'll do
