The book blends ecology, politics, religion, and science fiction together fairly well, and introduces interesting concepts. One of my favorite aspects of the book was Herbert’s development and portrayal of the desert-toughened Fremen people--I could picture them easily. I may not go so far as to call Dune the greatest book I ever read (I’ve read lots of ‘em), but I would recommend giving it a shot.

Why cant you tell anyone?
Because if there are two things I hate in this world about being an autonomous being living amongst others, it's
1. being judged on moral ground by an un-involved party
and
2. having to explain myself to others.
I am a person who is not other people and I have my reasons and I'm not harming anybody else. plus, the news I have is both of a personal nature and scandalous.
it's less about my privacy and more about dealing with the reactions of others.

That seems way too severe to be a weight issue. Doctors are arrogant, if they can't figure out a problem they assume there is no problem. This arrogance killed my aunt and almost killed my grandmother. Demand answers and do your own research.
I did my research on every sleeping disorder known to the western world. If it really is a sleeping issue (and not some off the wall disorder) it can only be hypersomnia or narcolepsy. That's it.
I actually really hate doctors. Because half of them are smug and the other half are dismissive.
Now that I'm older doctors like to tell me that everything that could be wrong with me is related to my weight, which is of course utter bullshit. I weight 180lbs and I'm 5'5". My bmi isn't the best, but medical problems directly impacted by it (blood pressure problems, signs of diabetes, etc.) are absent.
It's a matter of discrimination in the medical community. Anything relating to an overweight or obese patient has to be because they're fat. Because if it's not, then the doctor has to do more than look at a single number written on the chart.

I'm in humboldt county and I have cell service (usually) but we use them for internet here, and it's total bullshit because everytime our internet goes out we get a cgi warning and I can't visit whatever page I was on when the internet went out -- even after it comes back -- because it keeps redirecting me to that damn warning, even after clearing my cache and all this random bullshit that should not be necessary to turn in my homework assignment online.

I agree. It's really too bad.

I read about a progressive writer in the early 1900’s who envisioned a future without individual umbrellas. If it rained awnings would automatically extend out over the streets so everyone would be dry, together, and equal on rainy days.
This is just more proof that communism will win.

Good plan. When do we start?!
