This is really all I want from the show. This fic centers on Ian/Mickey but gives all the characters their own scenes from their POV and background storyline. By the end, the fic has resolved a whole show’s worth of issues that it’s tackles. It develops Lip’s alcoholism before the show covered it, allowed Debbie a future in which she is still likeable but suffered similarly to the show, Mandy deals with her internalized feelings, Fiona struggles with being a mom to her siblings while wanting to have her own life, and Ian and Mickey find each other again. Without spoiling it, it also covers a scene I hope the show can do justice to this season.
