Le Retour
From here @thewindchild A rich aroma filled the halls as the hideous creature took route. Familiar, yet so long ago, the nostalgia gave the cursed prince a bit of deja vu- He had done this before. He thought... Wondering if maybe it was all just a dream for a fraction of a second. His mind melting the memories into today, he looked down to check. Fur, claws... Giant. Balling it up, the size was like a boulder he'd find along a riverbed as a child happy to throw and make a big splash. This is his fist. A fleshy boulder covered in fur. If only he hadn't been such a fool all this time, a fool then too- then maybe his fate wouldn't. Though, it's useless and pointless to have regret or remorse now... There is being innocent, then ignorant and then purposefully ignoring when you know very well what is wrong. Playing along like a game of the minds. Before one would know it, it's been a decade of Hell and you want to scream but all you hear is a voice that is not your own, a face that isn't a face. The impossible, possible-- - A padded fur foot stepped past the threshold, the floor worn from the weight after years of pacing it. The chairs and table all seemed so small. Doll-like as he loomed over the banquet of dishes, all steaming and wafting around like a recently burnt out candle. Filtering through the air-- " Did you tell him?" Asking soft and low, knowing full well their answer. Of course they did. What was all this for? Not him. A perfectly fine beast-dinner, is one giving into the chimeral instinct of the beast and hunting fresh game. Not that he couldn't have human-(animated object)prepared meals. It was just easier to do the former. Attempting to pick up a wine glass, the beast struggled. His claws clinking against the material. Then a familiar voice came from behind. Uttering a long-forgotten, retired title. Though, it was still familiar enough to grab at him. The glass he struggled to hold fell from him and smashed on the floor.
He stood there, frozen. Still as a frightened deer, hoping the hunter didn't see. " Not Adam... Only Beast"
- And knelt down to sweep the shards into his hand as it was large enough to simulate a dustpan. As this interaction went on, the enchanted objects rushed around to gather glass and help dispose of the pieces-- luckily the object he dropped was not an enchanted staff member. Slowly, he turned to a chair, dragging it back " Come. Eat. You will need the strength" Motioning to Makani.
