I keep trying and I probably will continue to do so (especially when M.W4 drops probably or maybe even soon cause R.each.er) but this blog definitely does not spark joy to me. It throws me every negative emotion ever whenever I try to log in. It's been like that for so long. Maybe I shouldn't have called it haunted... it keeps haunting me 🤣.

❛I’m just trying to understand how you feel.❜ So says Sam for Brynnox! // @h-a-unted !!

Brynnox used to love gazing at the night sky back home, but since arriving on Earth, she hadn't been able to do so without feeling saddened — no, that didn't feel like the right word. Could she find the word that best encapsulated how she felt? She wiped her teary eyes away with careful swipes of her fingers and let her head tilt down. Away from the night sky, away from the stars. ❝I feel lonely. That is how I feel.❞ She answered quietly, hands sat gently in her lap. ❝I am the only one here who knows of my home, and I...I miss it so much.❞

Tears rolled down freckled cheeks, uncontrollable now despite the company she kept. Sam was safe — Brynnox felt like she didn't need to hide things from her, even if it wasn't happy. She didn't want Sam to ever feel like this— be it lonely, sad, longing for home — whatever it may be, she didn't want the other to feel as misplaced as she had. She wanted nothing but happiness for her friend, which she deserved.

❝Every day I am reminded I am not from here. The people here do not realise it, but they make it known to me that I do not belong. That I will never belong. And— and that is okay because all I want to do is go home!❞ Brynnox choked on a sob, hand flew up to cover her mouth as the emotions that once felt barely tolerable became unbearable in just a second.

Lonely. What a familiar word that was for her.

Many times had she felt lonely before... It seemed like, ever since she was born, her destiny was to follow the path of loneliness. And now, the very moment in which she did not feel that lonely, it seemed that someone else had taken her place.

First, Sam watches and listens, she shimmies closer to the girl, placing a hand on her back to try and soothe her down if even a little bit. When the girl's cries suddenly turn uncontrollable, Sam glances at her with a saddened, careful look.

"I'm sorry, Bry," Samantha starts, pain reflected in her voice. "I know how it feels, I will not let it last for too long. I promise I'll get you back home."

But even that was a promise she didn't know if she could keep. Despite her efforts, things weren't going the way she would have wanted. And the more she failed, the more time went by. "I'll do everything in my power to get you there. As soon as possible... It's just proving a little difficult."
