Of dark wells, strange phone calls and otherworlds 📞🌏
"Looking up at the dawn of stars at the bottom of a well was a special experience...as if my mind - my self - my very existence were firmly bonded through my narrow window to each one of those stars in the sky. I felt a deep sense of intimacy toward them: they were my stars, visible to no one but me in the dark well. I embraced them as my own, and they in turn showered me with a kind of energy and warmth." - Haruki Murakami, translated from Japanese by Jay Rubin
just a quick mini painting inspired by The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle
probably my 2nd to the last Haruki Murakami inspired artwork for the meantime 💚 just needed to take a short break from reading his beautifully written, mind-boggling books • there's just something both abstract and concrete in his words that most of the time I find myself rereading lines inorder to make more sense of them • can't help but fall inlove with how he tells his stories 💚
