HIAS works around the world to protect refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands because of who they are, including ethnic, religious, and sexual minorities. For more than 130 years, HIAS has been helping refugees rebuild their lives in safety and dignity.

Ninguém Fica Pra Trás donates to five charities that help the lives of women, LGBTQI, people of color, indigenous people, immigrants, and refugees. Historically, they have been the main victims of violence and intolerance. Now, Brazil has a president who publicly incites hate against them. More than ever, their lives are at risk.
