yes, but “you with lots of eyeshadow” is still wicked pretty. <3
Thank you, baby!

It’s always SO MUCH eyeshadow! But you look great!
I swear, she used about six different colors. There is no way on earth I could ever recreate that. Thank you!

you’re so pretty and I miss your face a lot
I will see you in a month! I, in turn, miss your face.

hi pretty! i once had a make over. she removed all the make up i was wearing. applied new…and i looked exactly the same…
It's the weirdest thing. I don't know whether to be happy that I don't feel like I'm missing out on looking good by not wearing makeup often, or think, "wow, this is as good as it gets."

wedding pros do tend to favor the “natural” look. if I ever get married I’mma insist on purple or green or something.
My sister-in-law got the full silver eyeshadow-curtains of eyelashes-fire engine red lips treatment, and I have to admit to being a little intimidated, so I think I'll just take what I got and be happy.

Apparently you are pretty, then! :D Professional makeup hardly ever makes me look different, to be honest.
Thank you! She did accomplish the "me, but on a well-rested day" look, so I can't complain.
ribbon hot cocoa
I answered hot cocoa already!!
Ribbon - Okay this is so dumb but I was babysitting when i was about 16 and some magazine the family subscribed to had an excerpt from Sandra Brown's Charade. I had never read a romance novel before. I didn't even really know such a thing existed (I know I know late bloomer) and it sort of blew my mind. The next morning I drove myself straight to the book store and bought the book so I could see how it ended and then I proceeded to read everything I could get my hands on for the last two years of high school. It wasn't some like OMG I'VE FOUND WHO I AM thing, but it definitely made me realize there were things about me that weren't like other people.

ribbon - What’s a book that had a strong impact on you?
I really wish I could answer some cool philosophical tome of wisdom, but alas I cannot. So, instead, I’ll give you two that come to mind first.
The first is LadyHawke by Joan D. Vinge. It was the first adult (as in grown up lol) novel that I remember reading. Given to me by a friend of my mom’s after we’d stopped by. This friend was a painter, which I thought was the coolest thing ever and for some reason she offered the book to me. I devoured it - love and loss and magic and adventure, it hooked me like nothing else. It’s obviously something I’ll never forget.
The second is actually a series. Everyone’s familiar with Nancy Drew (and I’ve read all those as well), but my first love was the Trixie Belden series by Julie Campbell. Once again, action and adventure and mysteries to be solved. I loved this series because it was about a girl who wasn’t so smart at school, but she was clever and resourceful and figured shit out. With the help of her family and friends. Still to this day, The Gatehouse Mystery is one of my favorite books of all time.
rudolph - What’s a band a family member introduced you to?
One of my favorite cousins was the world’s biggest Prince fan. This was a cousin who, growing up, was pretty much apathetic about everything so I paid attention to her enthusiasm on this and it paid off in the end. :D
…and thus endeth the essay. (soz.)
