Jason aged like fine bread- old and moldy. Well, sort of? He aged well, still fit and muscular, not yet old enough to surrender crime fighting. He would have been graying nicely if not for his hair dye, keeping his head a dark black.

Ok, he lied. He’s aging really well, and it’s kind of disappointing. He wanted to be ugly. Stupid healthy life style keeping him fit.  Or maybe it was the pit that has slowed his aging process... maybe he’s not as old as he thought?

Unlike Damian. Who aged and, well, the boy is no baby anymore. Also disappointing. Speaking of babies... “Hey Baby Bat?” Nicknames never die, “I found some stray kittens the other day. They’re in my house causing havoc and I don’t want them anymore,” he stared at the man, expectantly, “So, they need a home. And you have a home.”

He flopped a hand out from under the blankets, groping around fruitlessly before giving up and growling. “Give it.” His eyes were barely visible from a gap in the blankets, dark rimmed and hazy.

Aww, cute. “This is mine. Yours is waiting on the counter, asfoor.” On one hand, Jason is surprised that anyone could possibly find Damian intimidating; but on the other, he understands that most people don’t understand Damian as well as he does.

hello, damian.

my opinion of you and your status, now? when is the last time we talked? last summer, last early fall? and then you just.. went quiet.

did you listen to those voicemails, did they ever go through to you? like the ones asking for help or guidance, or the ones checking in on you? if they didn't send, why didn't you reach out to me?

if they did and you ignored them?

i missed you. and you were gone without warning or reprieve. and there was only static in between.
