Natasha was exhausted, being on the run non-stop and digging up old history was wearing down her tough exterior. She was crashing at Clint and Laura’s place until she had to move on and had been woken up by the usual nightmare. She stumbled out into the hallway and grabbed a bottle of water, her hands shaking and it slipped out of her grip, her eyes welling up as she found herself short of breath and leaving her gasping. “Fuck.”

Nat was woken by a crash from outside her bedroom. Pulling herself up from bed, she moved over and opened the door. Stepping through the doorway just as the woman swore, she sucked in a surprised breath and her eyes widened. “That’s a bad word, Auntie Nat.” She scolded and was about to start telling the story of one time when Cooper had said a bad word in front of Daddy when she noticed Natasha’s heavy breathing. “Are you okay, Auntie Nat?” She asked hesitantly.
