The Ex Talk By Rachel Lynn Solomon Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎙It took me about a week to get through this book between audio, e-book, and physical copy. Overall I enjoyed the book. I remember how popular it was when it came out and it's been in the back of my mind to read it ever since. 🎙The story flows rather nicely, but somewhere around 60%, it begins to feel repetitive and the plot is drawn out longer than I think it needs to be. I skimmed a bit around here before it picked back up. 🎙Shay and Dominic are the classic enemies-to-lovers who are forced to work on a project together and inevitably fall in love. Shay thinks Dominic is arrogant, but there's a small part of her that wants to know him better. The internal struggle she has to let that wall down lasts well into the book. 🎙I enjoyed the public radio aspect of this and think I'll be putting NPR on later for the "soothing journalistic lullaby". Additionally, reading a book based somewhere other than New York or Los Angeles was refreshing. 🎙The book was sweet, touched on love after loss, and how to recover when life doesn't go the way you planned. 🎙Aside from being my favorite genre, it was great to see a romcom dig a bit deeper. • • • #thextalk #rachellynnsolomon #lizzierecommends #bookstagramcommunity #bookrecommendations #bookreviews #romcombooks #romcomreview #berkleyromance https://www.instagram.com/p/ChSGQXvrnmx/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
