“ you want me to punch him in the face ?? ” hiro and caleb :relieved:
caleb’s never seen himself as being particularly ATTRACTIVE. he’s not not good looking, this much he knows, but with the way hiro’s all but fallen to his knees for him –– with the way he DECKED a guy in the face the first time they met –– he has to wonder what exactly his boyfriend saw in him from the start that had deemed him worth near getting a black eye for.
because caleb is used to fading into the background and letting his WORDS speak for themselves, or at the very least warding off creeps like masaki ( who can’t seem to take a fucking hint, by the way ! ) ALONE. and he was alone, most of the time –– busy and cold, keeping other people at arms’ length, fighting his own battles. all he wants is to be significant, and loneliness, he always thought, would just be another collateral.
hiro is different, though –– hiro lets his ACTIONS speak for him, moving with his heart rather than his head. where caleb is quiet and observant, hiro, unlike any other person he’s met, has existed LOUDLY, commanding attention and second glances and bringing color to the world of his that used to only consist of grays and blacks and whites.
caleb’s always been alone –– hiro’s shown him it doesn’t always have to be that way.
“it’s okay, baby.” hands come to smoothen out the collar of hiro’s top, caleb looking up at him like he’s put the stars in the sky ( and in a way, hasn’t he ? ). the situation gives him an almost painful deja vu right now, what with some guy offering him some leering compliments and unwelcome stares. he surges up, a kiss planted to lips soft and dizzying but only in the best way, because hiro’s ALWAYS made him dizzy in the best way.
“let’s just go home, yeah ? he already knows i’m only YOURS.”
