Ooh give us more info on that first oak beef! Why they did they fight? Did oak not like the idea of admitting that grass types are helpful to ground types? Also, as a side note, have you ever seen those short anime cuts of oak's research where he treats pokemon badly and then they attack him? Would love to know what peach thinks

Peach was some fresh face stubborn, total hot head researcher who came out of college and basically set out unintentionally to prove a lot of what he said was true, to be wrong. They met up along the way at some lecture, and their opinions of grass types differed vastly. Oak didn't want to see that they had a broader importance, he's been set in his old fashioned ways for too long, believing that catching and removing them from the environment is fine, even in large quantities because the actual plants will keep up and make sure nothing bad happens. Peach showed him actual solid data and he basically snuffed it as wrong and ignored her work. Back then, it made the tiny angry woman furious, she set out to spite the old man from then on.

He had tv shows and radio segments back when she was young, that like everyone, she watched and took in as the final word on pokemon. Growing up and realising this seemingly good guy was in fact a huge dick to most species he showcased, kind of tainted everything from there. He clearly had no respect for them, and so she decided to have none for him. Peach's theories and ideas made his seem wrong and misleading, and his pride hated it, and in turn her. So they just argued all the time. No one smart will invite them to the same gathering. If Peach learns Oak will be at a convention or party, she will often avoid it. Unless she wants to start something, and turns up to drink too much and shout at him a bunch until she's escorted out. He would have had to do something truly stupid for her to resort to it, but it happens. He constantly sends her letters to try to stop her jailbreaking the dex's he ships out, and often tells young trainers to avoid Dotaku, because the people there run an unorthodox practice.
