                A dispute was taking place in the mind of the detective, weighing out two deceptively simple decisions: Do it or do not do it. By this point the others attention had been drawn to his staring eyes making Akechi feel captured in the act of doing something unsavory. He looked away and back knowing if he rejected the concept of showing the other affection like they had done for him he would likely never take the chance again. 

Akechi shifted in his seat, clearing his throat as if he was going to say something but instead he leaned forward. Their faces were inches apart and all he had to do was close the space-- Yet, his stomach stirred like it had become upset, feeling as though he was to give up an entire piece of himself if he gave the raven that type of of physical attention. Leaning upward instead he placed a clumsy kiss on what was meant to be the tip of Akira’s nose but placed more off to the side of it. 

A failed attempt to imitate the one Akira had given him previously -- embarrassed, he returned to his spot unable to look the other in the eye, “   T-There... A kiss for a kiss as they say...   ” He did not believe anyone actually said that but the fallacious proverb made him feel the slightest bit better.
