Zane: I think we are!

Zane points to the end of the time portal to a very familiar setting...

Kai: Is that the forest where Lloyd made his evil treehouse?

Cole: Lloyd chose the Forest of Tranquility to come out of the time portal? Smart kid.

Zane: It would be best if an opening to the future were hidden where minimal foot traffic is.

Jay: So nobody around to catch us! Great!

Kai: Get ready guys! I think we're about to land!

The Ninja brace themselves as the ripples of time hit them.

Like a blink (or a wink?), the four were chucked onto the thick grassy floor of the forest.

As they pick themselves up, Jay feels a gush of hot air hit his back.

Jay: AAGHAH!!!!!!

As Jay jumps back, the Ninja hurry up to look at what scared the lightning ninja.

And that was-

Cole: ... Rocky?

All four of the original dragons laid out in the open area, the Lightning dragon chattered lightly and nudged Jay.

Cole: Rocky!

Cole ran to the Earth dragon and hugged their snout. Even after all these years, Cole was still massively tiny compared to his beloved dragon.

Kai: Flare!

Zane: Shard!

Jay: W-Wisp! You scared me!

As the four reunite with their dragons, one question pops into Kai's head.

Kai: Since when did all of our dragons come to the forest?

Zane: I don't think they ever did... Only Flare did when we demolished Lloyd's treehouse.

Jay: And they ditched us to molt when my parents came around!

Kai: So why are they here?

Zane: Perhaps, they know what is going on.
