so i got top surgery a few days ago

but. while i was out i had the most vivid dream. and it can definitely be explained by the fact that i’ve been wayyy too into jfo and jedi survivor lately. (i haven’t had a dream in MONTHS and i’m a very light sleeper).

i literally WAS cal kestis. no third person player style whatsoever. in the digital flesh, force powers and all, traversing through the galaxy with a trusty booping companion over my shoulder.

if this isn’t a sign to get a cosplay together as soon as i’m recovered, i don’t know what is.

Please tell me about your modern detectives AU with Trilla and Bode and Kalluduri

Please know it took me a while to answer this solely because I was kicking my feet with delight at receiving it (and also reading The Goblin Emperor lol)

Okay so! I forget what I've said already, but my mental image goes something like this: Trilla, a newer detective, gets assigned a new partner: Bode Akuna, a former FBI agent who's bow working as a cop. Trilla is EXCESSIVELY suspicious of this guy (who leaves the feds to become a cop???? Seems like a serious downgrade) and also just finds him annoying

Bode, who left the FBI for more regular hours so he can take care of his daughter, finds his new partner virtually intolerable. There's probably also some element reflective of canon (and by canon, I do mean The Anti-Vader Squad lol), in which they hate each other for more personal reasons, but I haven't really thought that facet through

Anyways, they have a very contentious working relationship, but manage to scrape by, and one day stumble into some case that's much higher profile than usual. Enter Kallus, a federal agent who's been working this case for MONTHS, so he'll just take all relevant paperwork and info and go now, thank you. OVER BODE'S DEAD BODY, says Trilla, because no Fed (no matter how handsome) is gonna take HER case, and she and Kallus get into an enormous fight about it. Bode manages to extricate her, and goes, okay do you want to fight about this, or do you want to keep working the case under the FBI's nose with zero permission using this info I stole while you were yelling at Kallus? And Trilla's just like OBVIOUSLY BOTH okay fine let's go

That's pretty much all my comprehensible thoughts, though I do think they'd definitely end up working with Kallus, and then Bode would have to third wheel them which would be extremely funny. Oh also Trilla meets Kata and goes ohhhhhhhh THAT'S why he quit the feds because we love mutual understanding and eventual trust with these two
