She always thought that way? So it seemed to be. How truly fascinating, and Stanislav wanted nothing more than to see everything. She had such a way with seeing the world; vibrant and colourful. How contrasting to his pessimistic grey void. Though he claimed it to be realistic, he had a penchant for cynicism.
Though it was counter-productive in wanting the vampire to drive, he was unable to argue with Kiki. She’d made it clear that she wanted nothing more than to bask in his presence, though there was an element of appeal in having Kiki with him again.
After paying for Kiki’s meal, he stood up and allowed his hand to make way into the wiccan’s. He made no show of it, though he glanced around for any peering eyes while interlacing his fingers with Kiki’s. While there were some patrons who seemed to recognize the vampire, a simple glare from him told them to stay away, to refrain from asking questions.
Outside, Stanislav gave Kiki’s hand a light squeeze as he once again helped her into the passenger seat, finding himself retreating into the safety of his thoughts once again. The allusion had been broken, for now the vampire king understood that he had put himself in quite the predicament. It hung heavy on his shoulders, though he carried it with an element of his natural class.
Closing the door for Kiki, he hovered outside for a moment; enjoying the serenity of the cool air that emphasized his lack of warmth. It grounded him, allowed him a moment to regain his composure before entering the vehicle, taking his place in the driver’s seat. He’d found himself unsurprised at how he seemingly remembered where Kiki’s apartment complex was located, and much like their previous drive, remained quiet. Focusing on the road before him, Stanislav was able to push his growing concerns into the back of his mind. His hand found its place on Kiki’s thigh once again, silently seeking comfort or reassurance. Something he had never done before, something he didn’t quite understand. Perhaps he wanted to believe that once the undeniable truth left his lips--whenever that would be--Kiki would still retain interest, keep his secret safe.
Pulling into the parking lot he’d been in once before, he turned off the engine and sat in the driver’s seat for a moment before looking over to Kiki; fixating on her face. Removing his hand from her thigh, he opened the driver’s side door and stepped out of the rolls royce, gently closing the door behind him. Putting his hands in his pockets, once again he looked up to the sky and allowed the gentle breeze to kiss his pale face.
She felt safe once his fingers interlocked with her own, would it be foolish to admit she felt butterflies in her heart everytime their hands touched? Walking out she took a moment to glance around the rest of pixie plates. Though she’d been there once before it was nice seeing the decor when it was much less crowded. The food had been delicious and she would definitely be coming back here to eat again, hopefully with Stan again. She didn’t notice nor care about anyone staring at them, she was in her own little world without much of a care what others thought at that moment.
Once outside she felt what had become their normal thing to do when holding hands and she gently squeezed his hand back in response. Allowing herself to be helped into the passenger seat, something she found sweet of Stan to do. She buckled her seatbelt as a thought crossed her mind. Would this be considered a date? He paid for her meal. Just the thought made her face feel warm, he didn’t see her like that did he? She could tell he was fond of her but to what extent exactly? She stared out the window pondering these thoughts. This time when she felt his hand on her thigh she rested one of her hands on top of his, not turning her gaze from the window.
As they pulled into her apartment complex she couldn’t help but feel nervous again, he seemed to have a habit of making her feel nerves. A pout forming on her lips as she felt his hand pull away though she kept quiet. As she opened the passenger side door and stepped out she inhaled deeply in an attempt to calm her nerves. She walked with Stan up to her door, pulling her keys out of her purse and unlocking the door “Alright so same with Garridan. I guess I just say you’re invited in? You can come inside”
