If you're into museums, DC has a lot and the ones at the Smithsonian are free. DC is also way less white than Boston. Super hot and humid summers tho
I’ve got a high probability of employment lined up in Boston, and it’s still within decent traveling distance of my family, and I have friends there, but thank you for the suggestion.

i love boston! its a good small city where i can be my very loud gay self and feel mostly comfortable. its not perfect but still more accepting than most of the u.s. honestly. the cops suck as much as anywhere else but theres some lovely museums and our public library is beautiful and you can take public transit to the beach when its too hot in the summer. its expensive tho so be prepared for that.

The river is rly pretty!! As others have pointed out it’s one of the most redlined cities in America. Ppl generally care a lot abt sports. It’s physically pretty small. Lots of college-age folks!

Sort of going off what other people said— it’s definitely a liberal city but not as liberal as people think so beware. Definitely majority white as well. But it’s really pretty and not too hard to get around. And I met a lot of people who I really liked when I lived there.
