Trainees of the Yellow
Over the next few weeks, we will be showcasing the many traveling trainees that we have come and volunteer for us throughout the year. Our training program is a perfect way for you to see the sites and make new friends, while saving money on living arrangements! The beauty of the program is the ability to work with so many different people from around the world and having the time to fully experience what travel is meant to do: Open your mind!
With each post, we will showcase a trainee and give them a sounding board to talk about their Yellow experience. STAY TUNED:)
Under the Yellow Spell
By Jamil
The Yellow is a magical place. I’ve only been here 5 days, a fact I keep forgetting, as it feels like so much longer. Drinking, dancing, and exploring has contributed, but without a doubt the people who stay and work at the Yellow are what bring the magic to life. When you step into the bar, you’re stepping into a unique comradely, like you’re all instantly in on the best inside joke ever. I’ve met some of the most endearing and gorgeous human beings while ordering a drink, had an in-depth conversation about the best movies of all time while waiting for the bathroom, and saw the Vatican with a girl I met in the elevator the night before. There is no pretense, no need to be anything other than yourself here. The single most common conversation I have with people is their decision to extend their stays; not wanting let go of the feeling they’ve tapped into. The Yellow is a home. A crazy drunken home, but a home nonetheless. A lot of people travel to find themselves, while others travel to lose themselves for a little while. The trick of the Yellow is its seamless ability to allow you to do both.
Tipsy girl: your college outfit makes you look like you're from Hogwarts. Know any magic tricks? Tipsy boy: I can make myself disappear. *Tipsy boy walks away.

Tipsy boy: We are having so many problems with the environment. We should help, and shower together. Tipsy girl: Let me buy you a drink.
