Kvar was dead by his hand, which was the only fitting end for him. While ultimately Kratos viewed himself as responsible for Anna’s death (it had been his blade that cut her last breath), Kvar held some responsibility. Not just for the Angelus project, but his dogged pursuit of the two and his treatment of Anna as well as every other human that was forced to work at his ranch.
Yet it wouldn’t bring her back to him.
Now the group stayed in the ruins of Luin, another reminder of Anna, and Kratos found himself spending his time alone. Lost in his memories, that didn’t keep him from realizing he wasn’t alone. He didn’t look but only one person in their group could be so quiet.
