"Cardinal," he hissed, trying to keep her upright. Sitting back to back was fine, except when the other fell asleep against you. Which, he didn’t mind, Donovan just assumed that she would rather be laying down than using him as a pillow.

No response. He probably should just leave her be. Sleep was hard to come by on the road, and they had to take what they could get. Situating himself into a little more stable, and comfortable position, he let her be, pulling out a knife to sharpen the stick he had been messing around with.

Her and her father—I have it drabbled down somewhere. I hope it survived my USB loss. If so I can put an excerpt here.

I guess not. Oh well. Probably needs to be rewritten. It as an old writing.

Anyways, her father, her bother, and herself were outside one night catching fire flies. Or she was trying to, but wasn’t very coordinated about it given how small she’d been at that time. Eventually she gave up and her and her father took a seat to hold the jar while her brother went about catching all of them.

Her father took it as an opportunity to give her a little talk about stars. One of those talks parents have about cultural beliefs.

Jova, her father, was of the belief that good and honorable people become stars when they die. It’s a heaven concept. When a star falls, someone’s ancestor is returning to earth to guide them or to live again with another form.

She was smitten with that concept and quite excitedly declared, in a child’s sense of self-grandeur and determination, that she would become the moon!

That was her earliest recollection. She was maybe physically and mentally five or six.

She no longer thinks she will be the moon. She doesn’t think she’ll be a star, either.

Rune watched the red light in the controller blink on and off through his helmet's visor. A week had past since he'd gotten  Roxy home and been stranded on Terra. A week of four hours sleeping and combat around the capitol building.

Commit....commit....commit....

And now here he was, watching that little light turn on and off high up in a skyscraper, still wondering if throwing in to help keep things from collapsing was the right idea. He'd gone to find Gabe after the Gate collapse, offering to help however he could. He'd been handed a Graviton bomb and a detonator, directed to a building, and been told to take it down.

Normally this would be a  job he was more than happy to do, watching things go boom and collapse. What man didn't enjoy a good explosion, provided he wasn't the one the explosion (or in this case an implosion) was focused on.

The building had to  come down  to block a firing line for artillery that was pummeling

The problem was, Rune didn't know how many people were still in the skyscraper. Innocent people who didn't have the chance to make it to a shelter or flee off world. Presumably the vast majority were safely in the shelters underground, but there were always stragglers...

Commit....commit....commit....

"What's taking so long, we're getting the hell pounded out of us." Gabe's voice came over the coms in  his borrowed helmet, clear enough that Rune could have sworn the man was next to him.

"How many people?"

"What?"

"How many people are still in that building?"

The line was silent for a minute. "We don't know. But we already have civilian casualties. We have to do this to keep from falling apart completely and loosing even more."

"Kill a few to save billions? That's how it is? They didn't even do anything."

"And those billions will be worse off than they are now if we let the rebellion take over. You know that. You remember how things used to be before all this." Gabe told him. A voice in the back ground demanded a status from him, but Gabe ignored it. "Things will go back to the old Shiva way. We can't have that, no matter what cost."

Commit....commit....commit....

Rune's armored fist went into the transpara-steel window next to him. "I'm going home after this. No more of this bullshit. I'm not killing innocent people." He closed the channel, watching the detonator in his hand again, then pulling the trigger. Commit flashed red once more before going a steady green.

It started as a deep base rumble, rising in volume and rattling the skyscraper he was in. The window his fist had gone through spider webbed and shattered outwards, the fragments being sucked towards the building he'd just bombed.

It was a strange sight to watch. Ten floors started to crumble, compressing inwards as gravity was redirected into a single point in the building. He looked up as the building started to waver and fall, coming back down through the clouds and collapsing into the canyon of steel below, blocking the line of fire to the capitol building.

Rune took the small plastic plate with the word "Commit" printed on  it out of the detonator and pocketed it, chucking the rest of the contraption out the shattered window. He felt the need to keep it for some reason.

Opinion on;

Character in general:  

With what I have read about her, she is a strong and well formed character ;o; I can’t wait until we can get that thread going, so that I can also learn more about her and also see the types of interactions both our muses have. Original characters are just really varied and interesting to  look into further, especially when there are both big and little details added to them. How they play them:With what I have read and seen, you are doing an excellent job ;v; I know that with your own muse, you do have alot of freedom, that is what I feel ;; Especially when expanding further with different interactions and so on. You are doing a great job. The Mun: I haven’t spoken to you much, but from what we have talked about you seem really friendly and lovely ;v;

Hospital Stay (Open)

She hurt all over, Eoalande let out a small groan as she tried to adjust herself, but was too weakened and bruised to do so. The fae wore a pained expression as she adjusted the bed to sit up.

"Mom..." The woman looked over to see her daughter giving her a stern look, "Don't pull any of your stitches..." "But you can just patch me back up..." She whined plainly. She hated being confined to the bed. Even with her accelerated healing it would still be a while for her to recover. "Besides, I don't want to be a loaf when my friends come over to visit me..."

"They'd understand.." "Says you..."

{Well she is based off my character in my video game DC Universe online so I put her into that fandom but I don't know. CONFLICTION}
