The knight is shaking his head as he listens. He needs a bit more than what he's been given to get a better idea.

"Ei, I've never heard of such a beast. Well not this beast. I've run into others like him from the sounds of it though. So I highly doubt everything that happened is because he and Sinfonia have a "beef" with each other as you called it. They might have issues with each other but I don't really blame Sinfonia for having problems with someone when they look at him and think he's a meal.

You would have issues with someone of the same reason wouldn't you?

He's sighing as he crosses his arms over his chest and shifts his weight around. Pilvi is gone and it seems he's left with the Windarian and honestly he doesn't really know how he feels about it yet. The gunman doesn't seem like he poses a threat to his Liege but after being at war with those monsters for so long it still just leaves a sour taste in his mouth to think that he currently is being forced to trust Pilvi's safety to Black Wind.

"The problem is those types of creatures tend to have hunting grounds, and Sinfonia has only caught up with us recently. Within the space of this year, so otherwise he was out there by himself the entire time. You said they seemed like they knew each other. So I wouldn't be surprised if that monster has been hunting him for years. I'm not surprised he did what he did.

As for you being unable to hear anything, that was due to his sumunaamio."

He's raising his hand to tap against the metal that's covering his right ear.

"These are made to reduce the sound around us. They cancel out excess noise to give our bodies a break from hearing the entire world around us. So just remember now that you've experience what it does to your hearing. We can hear you just fine. Your normal hearing is ours with our masks on, but we can talk to Cid to see if he can make you something to help with your sight should you get caught in a Mist Cloud again."

Goodness. This poor guy seemed on edge. Kris wonder what happened to him, worried their presence might be sparked some anxiety, but then again he seemed anxious even before Kris found him. They're unsure - mostly sure, but who knows - if this guy had met a human with red-pink eyes before, so Kris reminds themself to keep them hidden. Or, the best they could. Their side fringe easily hides the one, but not the other.

Okay, first of all; guy's lost. Easy. Secondly; who was he? And thirdly; how did he get here?

"Hometown," they respond, checking the stranger over with their eyesight. "I live here, yes. We don't get humans travelling through here, especially strangers. How'd you find us, anyway? Hmm, you hurt? Need any help?"

Already Kris is searching through their bag, concentrating on whether they'd have anything in their inventory that would of great help.

"It's okay now, you're safe. I'll help you. We have a hospital if you need any injuries tended to."

Well. This is certainly an odd predicament he's found himself in.

Axel never truly knew when to leave well enough alone, did he? It's little fault of his own, more instinct than anything that made him stop just outside an alleyway and turn to find—

.......A teenage boy. Fainted or close to it, it looks like. Perhaps it would be better if he just kept walking, but...now then, what kind of man would just keep walking? He hadn't found that little beast as of yet, so she was either hidden away in some dark corner still, or already out of town. He could afford to stop and assist, for now.

He leans down, the ghost of a frown on his face as Axel does his best to get a closer look at the boy. Definitely foreign, judging by the clothes alone...Xing, perhaps? Good lord, had this boy traveled across the desert alone?

If so, no wonder he was collapsed....

it's a bit silly, in hindsight. he thought he'd been doing okay with all of the bullshit that's happened. he thought he'd been alright to deal with all of the many, many different pieces of information regarding the state of his country and the actual people running it. he thought he had a grip on everything, because even though he has his moments, he's still been ... okay. not great, but okay. okay was enough. he could be tired at night and sleep a bunch because al would carry him if they needed to be somewhere urgently. okay was good because it meant he was "stable."

he, however, vastly overestimated how stable his body was actually feeling, because a combo of atmospheric pressures and headaches and just a little too much thinking and not enough eating definitely did him in, resulting in the waterworks that he's a little too used to by now. it was silly, right ? just a little too much all at once. he'll be fine when he cries it out. except, no, it's not, because when he cries like this, the quietness is utterly and completely offset by the suddenness. which is a problem, especially because ling is right there and he was, previously, just sitting and working on his own journal. especially because they're basically alone. god damnit, why does he have to be a quiet crier when this happens ? he can't even muster up the ability to say anything when ling tries to comfort him because anything he could say is just getting caught in his throat when he goes to open his mouth. at the very least, he has his stupid journal in front of him - free to flip to an empty page that he'll have to rip out later - so that he can write. and hopefully his handwriting isn't bad enough that a foreigner would struggle to read it.

does that give enough information ? he hopes it does. he's not sure he wants ling to put the weight of dealing with all that on his shoulders, so he's just goin to try and carefully distance him instead. that headache isn't going away any time soon, but he'll get over it like he always does, surely.

One of the smartest people I know.” He lightly brushes some of Edward’s bangs to the side with a smile. “And you’re a wonderful friend to have. You are so important to me. Thank you for everything.”

He’s feeling sappy today. Sue him.

"Where's this comin' from? Yer gittin' all mush on me." He sounds with a brow raising as his friend speaks. He can't say he doesn't appreciate it though. He can't say he doesn't care. He can't say he doesn't like it. It's nice to be told good things about yourself every once and a while and he's always been a little weak to praise.

His lips curl up into a small smile as both of his brow raise shyly. He doesn't know what to say. Ling's a pretty cool guy too but it's hard to put these things into words sometimes. His instincts are hovering around 'Aw shuddup ya sap' but he knows that's not appropriate right now. So instead he raises his arms and wraps them around the other teen to give him tight squeeze.

Sometimes things don't need words, right?

How dare Ling show his face in Amestris. If he was after the same thing, he was out of luck. She was going to present the Emperor the Philosopher Stone. Her clan depended on it.

She readied her knives incase he was there to fight her.

It was all he could do to get a wind spell into the air to cushion the landing so the ground didn't knock the air right from the boy's lungs and the closer he got to him, the more he could tell that this one was, in fact, a boy. A human boy if he was guessing right. Does that make him another Amestrian like the others? Maybe the same world perhaps?

The boy hits the ground but somehow manages to keep his consciousness which has the swordsman crossing the space between them in seconds to get to his side and take the sight of him in. He - he really is a boy. He shouldn't make such hasty judgements considering his own situation but still he needs to make sure he's alright at the very least.

He's calling for this human to look at him and he can see the hesitation rigid in his body as he does. Dark eyes and dark hair. He wants to know who he is and where he is, so the swordsman is placing a hand against his hip as he stops in his tracks as if to show he won't advance unless given permission to do so.

"You may call me Makenshi. The world you're in is called Wonderland. It is a world of what once was and it is not safe to stand out in the open. I mean you no harm. I saw you falling from what I can only assume was the Pillar that sank down onto your world and I did my best to slow your descent."

He sighs moving his arms up to cross over his chest without making a move forward.

"Can I ask for your own name and what the name of your world is?"

.·:¨༺ ✩★✩ ༻¨:·. The sound of the voice to the side isn't one he's expecting but mint green eyes take in the sight of the boy nonetheless. And that's the difference between himself and the prince. Pilvi was questioning the boy's age but the historian knew a child when he saw one and that boy was most certainly a child.

It is an offer for help as the man of silence finds himself leaning against the wall. He was going to find Sielu. Sinfonia had stuck his head in his room and asked him to make time for the younger musician today because he was feeling rather lonely he said, so that prompted the historian to gather up the book they were in the middle of and a blanket to go spend some time with his co-bind.

An offer to take him somewhere to sit down and he doesn't really know where he would take him but he supposes he should rest. He probably should take some time to get off his leg and he doesn't feel much like floating right now because that only costs more energy than he has. So he sighs a little and gives the boy a polite smile behind the mask covering his face as he nods.

"-I appreciate the help. I just need a moment or two to sit down. I'm sorry for the trouble."
