We aren't married, so he is not my husband. He is my domestic partner, though. We've lived together for about three years now and we've been together for 5, of and on over the last 8 years, and I consider him more than just a boyfriend. We don't live in a place that recognizes SSM's, and even if we were to be married elsewhere, it would still not be recognized if we came back (though federally for the IRS, I think it soon will be.) It's like we're married, but not.
The terms I've seen so far were: partner, significant other, domestic partner, love interest, love, etc. So the state doesn't allow you to say you're married even though you would get married in a state that allows it? Do some states refuse to recognize it even if you are legally married? (I don't know a whole lot about the marriage laws or bans in all of the states).

He made a video a while ago about how he likes girls who shave. Of course, Tumblr feminists and random online feminists came after him, and ever since then he's been getting more and more publicity for it. That kind of got him going, so now he posts a LOT of random things, i.e. the gay rights comments, amongst other things, and it's gotten out of hand. Like the Colors said - at first it was like, oh, it's just his preference, so why is he getting hated for it? Now it's gotten so ridiculous that everyone is like, dude, really...like, why are you being so rude?
