Back on my "Peeta is like a golden retriever" bullshit. (See previous.)
I had a dream that Mrs Mellark really was a witch (because Katniss calls her the Witch) and she turns Peeta into a dog. An adolescent one, with awkwardly large paws and stuff? And Katniss can't afford a dog--she already has stupid Buttercup. But she takes him in anyway.
Were this a fanfic, at some point she'd wake up to find a boy naked in her bed, but my dream just ended with the dog part.
oh yeah i had a bizarre daydream while i was half-asleep yesterday that the hunger games wasn’t a fight to the death battle royale, it was just a tetris 99-style battle royale where all 24 contestants have to beat each other in a free-for-all tetris match, so like, once you got reaped you just trained really hard in tetris battles for two weeks and they still do all the interviews and coaching stuff and caesar flickerman still amps up every contestant but it’s just all for tetris. and like haymitch used to be the district 12 tetris champion, but he thinks kids these days dont have tetris talent anymore so he doesn’t bother trying to train them anymore
then halfway through the 74th hunger/tetris games when there are only four districts left, the gamemakers turn it into a team battle so teams can gang up on others and even if you get knocked out, you will still win if your district partner wins. peeta gets knocked out when cato sends him tons of garbage cause cato has like 100% up attack from picking on all the easy targets early in the game, but then katniss’s ace in the hole is that she's the only contestant who knows how to do triple t-spins, and that’s what helps her cinch the match
haymitch abernathy and peter b parker have the same energy of exhausted disgruntled sloppy has-beens whose grudging love and dedication to protecting their mentees ends up saving them

well, we already got several covers with liam and sam separately, buuuut no casual covers with main characters …soooo… maybe… *CRAZY ASSUMPTION*… later…we will get… cover… with jen… and josh…*screaming* TOGETHER *covered mouth with palm*… you know, something big at the end! …
ngl, as much as i enjoy the movies im still irritated by katniss being white (and also with peeta not losing his leg in the films). they didnt even let woc try out for the role! it's ridiculous. we could of had it alllll~
oh same i'll always be bitter, when i see images and clips of the movies or w/e i just don't associate jlaw as katniss, i see a white actress saying katniss's lines, looking angry or sad, but i just... don't associate her or her performance with the character of katniss everdeen at all.
any sense of peeta mellark i saw in josh hutcherson has also kind of been lost over the series... starting with peeta not losing his leg... everything has just kind of spiraled into resolved discontentment w this movie series. like i enjoyed the catching fire film but it isn't thg for me, it's just a movie franchise using its plot and characters
I saw Mockingjay Part 1. I thought it was seriously excellent - the split allowed this to be such a slow, quiet film, which worked incredibly well for me. Hard to watch it without constantly thinking about real world situations, though. Which is probably a good thing, there are definitely some people I hope have the same experience, but they're the ones who probably won't.
Also I am so glad of the Great Glee Rewatch project, as much as it's not been something my dash has really kept up on, because without it I don't think A would have watched Glee, and it's been so great to. Plus we had a like... 2 hour conversation about it today which was so interesting, his perspective is so entirely different to my. So thank you littleredspaces!
