It all happened so fast. One second she was being escorted atop the stage looking out over the people of District 7. Silence was the only sound for what felt like forever and Aspen could’ve sworn she heard her mother sobbing despite the distance. Then, the following moments were just as quick, she was escorted, said her goodbyes, promising her mom, dad and brother that she would do her best, that she’d come home to them. Her mother’s sobs, though, were the last thing she heard before boarding the train. 

After taking a second, looking around at what was introduced as her private room. Idly, she pressed a few of the buttons, watching the lights fade in and out, gazing around at the blandness of the room before cautiously poking her head through one of the many doors to find a common area. Not to her surprise, but also very awe struck, she saw Emori, the winner of the 62nd Hunger Games : Emori Nunes. 

Nervously, she stepped through the door, not sure if she had even been noticed yet, “hello?”

Just a small try to come up with something for THG verse including Mockingjay. Anyone interested can read and tell me what you think.

Regina Mills is the Mayor of District 11, when her father passed; she was forced to take the role even though she wasn’t that looking forward to it. Regina did her best to keep the District as peaceful as possible; she did her best to make sure that no extra force was used on the people from the district, which in turn made Regina work closer with Eleven’s victors. It was during Johanna Manson’s Victory Tour that her whole world went upside down, she meet one of the mentors a man by the name of Robin Locksley, he was charming and definitely had gotten her attention, she fell in love with him almost right away but that would go against all the rules, all the Panem rules, all the Snow rules. They kept it quiet, small meetings with Regina been the Mayor she could travel between districts easier and meeting Robin in Seven with the excuse that she was there for business with Seven’s Mayor.

Things took a worst turn when Regina found herself expecting and had to keep it a secret, however she knew that no one was able to hide secrets from President Snow, and how right she had been, Regina got a visit from the president himself demanding to know the father of the child and threatening her, yet she had been able to keep it a secret knowing that if Snow was to find out he would punish Robin in the worst way possible. From that, moment on her life was turned into a living hell. That is until Katniss Everdeen volunteers for the 74th Annual Hunger Games and a small hope is seen. With many contacts it become easy for Regina to find out what was been planning, using the spark that the girl on fire had ignite and a rebellion had been planned, Eleven Victors informing her about everything that so far had been planned but was only after the arena was blown up during the Third Quarter Quell and the 75th Annual Hunger Games that the plans had taken place.

With an agreement in helping as much as possible and using her contacts in the Capitol and other districts the best as possible, Regina and her young son were taken to District 13 to help in the upcoming rebellion but what she hadn’t expected was too been reunited with her true love, with the man she loved more than anything and the father of her son. Robin had been rescued too, been useful with his knowledge of the area in Seven and of course his fighting skills. The small family was finally reunited and a fight against the Capitol had started. Regina working alongside the Mockingjay team, giving as much information as possible and using her contacts while Robin was giving training sessions to those who wished to venture in the rebellion. She had left Eleven under the attention of one of her closest friends knowing that they would not only provide information but also make sure that their people would be safe.  However, of course she knew causalities would happen and innocent people would die, her only wish was that Katniss would be strong enough to bring Snow down and give the people from the districts a better life, a safer life away from Snow’s tyranny and threats.

Aside from music playing quietly and rain falling on the windows, the lab office is silent. Sleep tries to weigh her eyes down, but she rubs the fatigue away and pushes on. Another sip of coffee, a few stretches. She'll be fine. But this data has to get recorded while everything she observed is still fresh in her memory. Besides, with the Games less than a month away she won't have time to focus on these experiments for much longer. At least not until the spectacle is finished. 

If she's honest, the Games seem more horrifying than heroic from her view point now. Eden is lucky enough to be among those who receive diagrams of those who die strangely. Among those asked to experiment on the bodies. Among those tasked with making sure those who leave the arena after a canon blast are truly dead and not simply faking it. 

All her life, she was raised to belief death in the arena was heroic. That the games were a brilliant display of human strength and will. But from here, caught in the cradle between District citizen and Capitol observer, she can see the truth. But she knows better than to speak it out loud, or even think on it too much. Quashing the thoughts, she goes back to her computer and all the raw data that's begging to be sorted through.

curious about drug use in the capitol. tracking the evolution of enhancers, stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens...but mostly the ability of drug dealers to separate individual chemical components of each drug and mix and match to make new drugs.  

thinking about asking for permission to research...

or perhaps to not ask and just sneak my research in here and there.

THG headcanon

As a resident of District Two, Eden trained to be a tribute just like everyone else. She was one of the best they had to offer. But there was always someone slightly better and Two doesn't just send anybody into the arena. They only allow the best to be reaped, no matter how random the system is supposed to be. After she graduates from the training academy when she is no longer of age to reaped, Eden asks to be assigned to medical assistance within the academy, helping to maintain the high standards of health set for the children who train there. However, the doctors she works for see the potential in her scientific mind and recommend her for formal training at the Capitol itself. After four years of medical school and two more in residency as an intern, Eden splits her time between Bio-Engineering research in the labs and practicing medicine at one of the many private hospitals around the Capitol. During the Games, she is asked to oversee medical aid before the tributes are dropped off in their arena, and sometimes to participate in research done on the bodies of those who die.
