“Why don’t you swing by the club before you leave?” The question comes all of a sudden, since neither Lou nor Tammy were talking until this exact moment. In fact, the former hasn’t even lowered the newspaper she’s been reading, eyes focused on the headlines as if she’d never spoken. However, she soon opens her mouth again, right when she’s turning a page to keep on reading. “Y’know, before you go back to the suburban life. You might have some fun.”

there’s a pause following the words, the doubt clear in daphne’s eyes for a moment. she needs to learn to trust them—know that she has come in as an eighth member in the last moment, that there was still distrust towards her and whether she was fully invested in all of this as the others were. she would prove herself, though… even if proving herself meant that she had to learn when to take a step back and let others take the lead. she didn’t have to be in control all the time. she didn’t have to do everything just to prove that she could. daphne nods, finally, and lets the corner of her mouth twitch at the corner.   “alright,”   she agrees.   “alright… just let me know if you need any back-up.”
