London Trip: Bon Jovi Concert.

So, I...have...seen...BON JOVI! My first ever concert, and it was for one of my favourite bands. And it was AWESOME!

The past couple of days have been amazing. The day of the concert I had been out all day with my uncle (I was staying with him and his partner whilst visiting London, better than staying in a hotel for over £50 or something like that per night). We visited the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum (my favourite museum, I had been going there since I was very small).

And of course in the evening, at around 8:30 BON JOVI was playing at Wembley Stadium (the tour isn’t called “This House is Not For Sale”, hence the quite at the start. It was so much fun. I heard songs that I hadn’t listened to before hand (I wanted to surprise myself) and my favourites such as Wanted Dead Or Alive, Have A Nice Day, It’s My Life, You Give Love a Bad Name and of course, my all time favourite Livin’ on A Prayer. The atmosphere was electric and I felt alive. I didn’t get to sleep until at least past midnight, but I don’t care. The show was worth losing a few hours of sleep.

And even though I was singing (and by that I mean shouting until my throat was raw to try to be heard above the whole audience singing/shouting) I didn’t lose my voice the next day, so that’s a bonus 😂

I did take photos but they are on my phone and they aren’t very good quality wise. Sorry.

Yesterday was technically a recovery day, but it was also my last day, so really it wasn’t. My uncle and I took a trip to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The animals were amazing and I thought that my uncle was going to take home one dog in particular right then and there. And even though I have a dog at home, I also like cats and I saw these two little adorable balls of fluff that were 12 week old kittens but they were already picked out to go to a new home. It’s probably for the best because Sparky (my westie) would probably have freaked out if I suddenly came home with the kittens (not to mention one of my parents is allergic to cats so yeah.....).

We then walked all the way from Victoria Station through Westminster and past Downing Street to go to Convent Garden. We watched a couple of street performers, had lunch and looked around. And of course, being the typical Moomin fan that I am I went to the Moomin shop (typical me, I know 😆)

Right now, I am one a train back home. So I am quite sad, but it’ll be nice to sleep in my own bed once I get home.

By the way, you guys remember those fairy stones that I talked about previously? I left them both in Covent Garden. I took a picture of where I left them. So if you’re somewhere in London, hurry down to Covent Garden and find them, if you can.

In celebration of Pride (the LGBTQ Community) the pedestrian crossings at Woolwich were painted to look like the flag to represent Pride. Honestly, I don’t know if I’m straight, lesbian or bisexual, but I still support the LGBTQ Community because I wasn’t brought up to see the world through black and white and say that being gay is wrong (not to mention my uncle is gay and is happy with his partner, and you don’t turn your back on family). The world is changing and I believe it’s time for people who are homophobic to change too.
