A follow-up on Thing's first ref

I have decided that its species will be known as Benxoi, and the planet they come from is unspecified.

Below the cut is a breakdown of the anatomy:

A: Benxoi have a notable characteristic of canine-esque teeth that are gray in color. They fall out frequently due to decay or injury, but regrow easily. Within their mouth are two tongues, which are used for better gripping prey. On the underside, between these two tongues, is a reserve of venom, which is used to dissolve victims chosen for claiming as a shapeshift disguise.

B: Most Benxoi have two tusks set slightly below the jaw, which loosely resemble insect legs. They have barbs which are to help maim prey and serve as display for potential mates (more on that later).

C: All Benxoi have four ears, which are small dips in the flesh located on the lower mandible and upon the front shoulders.

D: All Benxoi have six legs. The front set are notably daintier than the rest, with the main purpose being for digging or scratching. The middle set are more weight-bearing and used as blunt force during combat, or propelling forward during a sprint. The back legs are for further balance and running.

E: All Benxoi are either entirely tailless, or have a nub. Because most of their defense traits are toward the front of the body, they have evolved to have no tail as to prevent being grabbed from behind.

F: Only around 20% of Benxoi have this trait, and that is the second mouth and second pair of eyes. This is to better monitor what may attack from behind, and attack accordingly. The second mouth does not eat or vocalize, and is only used for tasting the air and biting. If a Benxoi is trying to focus, it may close one set of eyes in lieu of using the other.

G: This is a Benxoi's best attack/defense, but utilises a lot of energy. Within the neck is a reserve of muscular tissue which can spring out and try to grasp prey to hold them in place.

Misc. information:

Benxoi can reproduce asexually, but usually choose not to.

They are extremely social creatures that form tight bonds with their species, and perform intricate mating dances and trills.

In some mannerisms, they are very similar to dogs, wherein their butts will wiggle if very excited.

It's probably my first time really rendering and blending with colored pencil, at least to a big extent. I'm so proud of how it turned out 😭
