Seeing @therealjacksepticeye on tumblr again has made me think back to when I first started watching him. I was only 14, and in a terrible point in my life. Jack and his videos kept me going for years. through the depression, the anxiety, the lonely school lunches, and the dark, terrifying nights - he was always there to put a smile on my face and cheer me up.
Jack's actually the reason I made my tumblr. I'd just met him at indy pop con 2015 and I wanted to post the pictures somewhere he might see them. I posted them here, and he reblogged me! from there, I became a jacksepticeye gif maker. I made 50+ gifs. here's some of my favorites:
and I'm realizing now just how much him and his videos impacted my life, and the lasting impression they made.
my hair's still green, though it's more emerald than neon now. I still call my little brother "jacky-boy". my septiceye Sam plushie is still on the shelf. speed is still key, I still do things like a boss, and cookies are still the best.
Jack, if you see this - thank you. I might not watch your content anymore, but the happiness you gave me back then has persisted in many ways over the years. I wish you the best, and just know that I'm always in your corner, just like you were always in mine 🖤
