“Come here,” Sansa muttered, not opening her eyes. She needed Sandor’s closeness right now. She had already sent her maid away for the night, the tent was made of sturdy canvas, there was only one solitary candle burning low on top of her travel chest and it could be snuffed out so no incriminating shadows would be projected for the outside world to see. It was late, Sandor had snuck in unnoticed from the back of the tent and the camp was celebrating the auspicious start of their return journey - nobody needed Lady Sansa or Sandor Clegane for a while.

But they needed each other, badly.
