After a new attempts at malenia I absolutely see what people mean about her feeling like a Sekiro boss fight
I also would love to fight her as a Sekiro boss because I think she would be really fun there but right now she is just torture

If I may ask, if WIT Studio confirmed that they won't continue AOT anymore, then how long do you think it would take for the next studio to release season 4? It just got me thinking that a transition from one studio to another would take, idk, long? Probably would start fresh. Plus the anime rapidly catches up to the current arc of the manga.
I have no clue about how long it would take, because it depends on the studio’s size.
What I know though, is that pre-production won’t take the usual amount of time (EDIT, I mean as if it was a completely new anime adaptation!), as I’m pretty sure some things will be kept the same.
1) Character design is already done, and I’m guessing the new studio can ask Kyoji Asano to get the new character’s design, deals like this one can be made in the animation industry.
2) The music is gonna be the same, as well as the voice actors, as Sawano Hiroyuki and the seiyuu cast aren’t tied to WIT, and these aspects usually stick to the anime itself, not the studio. They have their own management companies. I know voice actors' selections can take a while.
3) Many animators are freelancers, so they aren’t bound to a single studio as well (and that’s also why the industry is so shitty and they are so underpaid and overworked, imo), so like the guy who did the Levi chase in p1 and other, more complicated parts that clearly stood out is not working under WIT. If the new studio chooses so, he will still be involved in the SnK anime.
So, what needs to be decided is a schedule for production; choose and appoint a team of animators in the new studio; probably the team for backgrounds won’t be the same... so anyway, animators and colorists etc, will change, and it will take a while for them to find their “snk” style. Often times, when a studio changes, the only things that change (FROM A VIEWER POV) are animation quality and directing. Both of them could be worse or better, but they will certainly feel a bit different. Writing the script is something that happens for every season, so I don’t think it’ll slow things down that much, aside from the fact that the new screenwriter will have to keep in mind the changes to the source material WIT made in their adaptation, so they won’t be able to just go with the manga content as is (but, I mean, there are inconsistencies already in the anime made by WIT and very few people care so whatever - though I’m sure people will shit on the new studio just bc they’re not WIT lol).
Sooo, I think the making of the anime itself (as in, the actual creation of the episodes) is gonna proceed pretty normally, as if WIT studio was still making the anime. One episode = one month, usually.
The thing that will take the most time will probably be the pre-production exchanges/deals between Kodansha, Isayama, production companies and the new anime studio, I guess. As far as I know, that’s bound to take a while and it has no real deadline, as it is a back and forth of decisions (but as I said, half of them are gonna stick from the previous production). And who knows, it seems to me like this is a decision that has been taken for a while now, so they may already have started this new process.
Furthermore, they may want to animate the two final arcs as a whole, so maybe they’ll wait until the manga is almost over to start on the real production. My best bet is, at the earliest, we will hear about the new season next year, the latest in three years.
haven’t slept in days but i’m so happy to have work off today.
Today at Pride I saw a license plate that said SUPERJ2
Please someone validate that this was a reference to Supernatural....I tried to explain it to my roommate who never watched the show and sounded like a fringe conspiracy theorist
I feel like I can finally let go now. I loved you, goodnight.
i have spent the last day or so (excluding the time when i went to work) trying to fix a problem with overwatch
it wouldn’t run because it said the graphics card was incompatible or something like that, which i knew was wrong because i played it literally the day before.
so after all this scouring through forums and installing and updating graphic drivers i finally found a solution. and it was exceedingly simple
i just changed my resolution, started overwatch then exited and changed the resolution back. works fine now
Tomorrow is my last test of the year 🎉🎉🎉
