So I couldn't fall asleep last night and was starving. It was 12am and I wanted waffles. No waffle maker so I had to settle on pancakes. Which I'm not a huge fan of. Boo. I decided to try the banana and egg pancake. I knew one wasn't going to be enough so I made up enough for two. But wait... It needs something extra right? I mean since I am going all out with pancakes at midnight. So I decided to add some raisins. But as I am pouring in a few raisins the bag decides to rip and they all spill out into my pancakes. Oh well. Go big or go home right? I heat up my skillet and get my first pancake going and for some reason my skillet is smoking like crazy and I had to open the doors and fan the smoke detectors for fear that the whole house was going to know that I am binge eating at midnight. Then my pancakes are turning into mush because apparently my memory sucks and it's actually two eggs to one banana. So I have banana, egg, and raisin mush as a end result. All this work and I don't even get pancakes. In an agitated huff I sit down and wearily try my midnight mush. It's actually freaking awesome. My taste buds are singing and I am blissfully happy. And I couldn't even eat half of it because it filled me up so much. But I did learn my lesson on midnight binge eating. It's just not worth the hassle of being secretive when things tend to go wrong around that time. But I am definitely making this for breakfast this weekend for the Hubs and see what he thinks. I'm sure he will love them too. Especially with our honey from our bees drizzled on top! Yum!
