i will never understand people who enjoy hating or shitting on other people just because it's "entertaining" or "funny" or "for the lols" or just any positive feeling they may get out of it. i completely understand when people make mistakes and do something wrong (and this is inevitable, since humans are all flawed) and people provide constructive criticism in response to it, and try to correct their mistakes, or point out to the person in question where they have gone wrong, try to make them understand why, and educate them on how they can do better in the future. and hey, not every person will respond in the perfect way even when being dealt with in a perfect manner. but that doesn't give anybody the right to hurl insults, threats, or any form of negative words or actions towards them, regardless of how well they responded to your attempt to correct them nicely, and even more so if you did not try in the first place. if the person refuses to listen to constructive criticism or responses in a negative manner, the right thing to do is either press on and try to make them understand, while maintaining a neutral or positive manner of doing so, or to just walk away. i know it is difficult for people in this day and age to just walk away, or even disregard your own emotions in a situation, but going all ape shit isn't going to help anything either. i'm not sure there's ever been a situation where a person has decided to mend his ways (and i mean both in showing and in how he actually feels inside) as a result of people's attacks. and the group of people that is even worse than those who shit on a person for doing the wrong thing, is those who actually enjoy the entire situation for its 'comedic value'. it says a lot about a person; what they find to be a contributing factor to positive emotions. it tells me that you have intrinsically wrong morals and a horrible character, not to mention a lack of rationality. and yes, this group of people may say, "well, so what? what's it to you?" and yes, what you find as entertaining may not necessarily directly affect me. but in the same way that the person doing the wrong thing may be a bad influence to other people, if they perpetually do it and are not corrected, the group of people who find others being shit on, even for doing the wrong thing, is also a bad influence. and frankly if i had to choose between the person doing wrong and the person being entertained by someone being shit on, to hang out with? i'd choose the former any day.

i never understood the concept of justifying drinking alcohol before it’s evening by saying, “it’s 5 o'clock somewhere else in the world” like yes, obviously wherever you are, there will be a time zone that exists as the evening, but it’s not the time zone that you’re in. it’s like saying literally every hour “it’s 8am somewhere in the world” to justify eating breakfast foods non-stop.
if you want to drink before 5pm, just do it. nobody needs your justification except for yourself, and if a different time zone existing elsewhere on earth is your own justification, well, it’s a pretty shit one. even “i’m drinking because i want to” is more rational
Why do they call it "red tape" if it is black & yellow? #thingsidontunderstand
