Also finally got to see this movie and it was amazing. What struck me the most was the meaning heavily saturated into all of the action, how that pulled you as an audience member towards noticing the consequences or cohesiveness of each action as it related to the character doing it. It told such an enthralling story through mostly action, something I donât normally appreciate so thoroughly.
Watched this movie the other day during a very slow time at work. Didnât like it as much as I expected to but I appreciated the emphasis on friendship and mental health. Watching these kids trying to figure it all out with very little help from adults brought me back to what it was like to try to do that myself in high school.
Finished this miniseries this week. Grounded in raw emotion and truth.
I first watched Maroon 5â˛s âGirls Like Youâ which came out around the same time and thought it was so empowering...and then I saw THIS. So much more artful, badass, and meaningful. Getting me through this paper and I canât wait to dance around to it minus the presence of schoolwork.
Watched this trailer a couple weeks ago and started to lose it from the very beginning, since I have so much sensitivity around father stuff and then father-son stuff especially. Then 30 seconds in I hear the sonâs name is Nick and I start losing it even more. Then I find that the movieâs about the fact that Nick is an addict and am just a puddle of aching sadness. Still, I might go see this movie. Feeling big emotions can be really important sometimes.
