I just remembered we're getting @taylorswift 's documentary in two days and damn if it didn't make me feel so much better and hopeful. The big things matter. The small things matter.

clean room clear mind
I notice that when I super clean my room, and have all my clothes and different projects put away it makes my mind feel more organized and I feel happier and more calm and less overwhelmed. Right now theres a bouquet of pink carnations on my clean white desk and I have a painting and my paints all ready to go on my other desk, all my laundry is done, my floors are clean, I feel like I have space. My physical space is not cluttered, and my mind reflects that. I feel clear and inspired and like I have blank slate to work. When not every single sewing project and pile of clothes for etsy, and half done drawing, and things to return to the store etc. etc, aren’t out, I can reevaluate in my head what is the most important thing to do. I can start fresh in a way. A new day, a blank, clean, slate. I see less, but I feel like I have more. All my pants are perfectly folded together, I can open my closet and see them clearly, my skirts are in a section, my t shirts. I forget what I have when I don’t know where it is. I feel excited to wake up in the morning and just be able to make coffee and sit down and paint. Nothings in my way. I always forget how good this makes me feel.
