As the end of 2017 approaches, I can’t help but think of how much time has passed since graduating from college. It’s been well over 4 years, and to say the least, I’d thought I would have everything figured out in terms of my art and life. And yet, here I am still figuring things out as things are still unraveling. It’s been a weird year as I transitioned into an office environment as a textile designer. There are so many things to juggle as a textile designer and the perennial deadline factor looms behind my back, it’s been hard to stay creative. As a result, a lot of compromise has to go into designing. I’m grateful for working in the field, but part of me still misses doing more narrative illustrations. Hopefully, I can find more balance in doing textile design and more illustrations in future projects. *All images copyrighted to Spring Tex Group INC. . . . . . #botanicalillustration #botany #art #artistsoninstagram #editorialillustration #illustration #fashion #textileart #wallpaper #homedecor #wallpaperdesign #wallpaperdecor #fashion #textile #roses #peony #tropical #watercolor #aquarelle #surfacepattern #pattern #patterndesign #textiledesign #floralpattern #surfacedesign #thinhnguyenart
