i literally lose my mind thinking about anyone witnessing astarion viciously attacking someone and draining them of their blood. the absolute repulsion, the horror. the blood staining his face, the front of his doublet; gorging himself mouthful after mouthful and the dichotomy of a man who's usually poised and guarded, devolving into a sloppy frenzy that exposes the most fearsome part of himself.

it's gory, violent, animalistic; it's a side of him that's seldom seen and something that will never be easy to stomach, but it's become a part of his natural instinct. he needs to feed to survive, and at times it disgusts him as much as it does others.
