All my friends are dead or dying
She does not leave,
But settles.
In the whispering winds
Of the sea
And in the flutter of leaves
Which, in some symphonic swirl,
Collects her,
Plucking the notes of a life
I could not even begin to know.
All in which is she is to become,
She already was.
this is the other side of my caffeine talking but every day I'm so thankful for my friends and for the people who inspire me to live every day to its fullest. life is so beautiful when i focus on the little moments. when I remember the people that love me and care about me. when I take a moment to sit and just. breathe.
these past few months and years have just been me trying to undo the mental damage that quarantine and bad friendships and relationships caused. genuinely I think movies and books and video games and nice cups of tea and sweet little treats and hugging friends and yapping have saved my life. maybe not in a literal sense, but I feel like for a long time and even now sometimes, I'll focus too much on how there's always work or school or something to do and I'll forget to appreciate the moments that I choose.
I think I've posted something similar to this multiple times already but I think it's really important to remember that although yes, life may be just work every week for the rest of your life, but it's also spending time with friends and reading books and drawing and going outside and smelling the flowers and getting hyped for new media for the rest of your life.
I know I joke about natural selection and all that but truth be told I'd be first on the list to be wiped out I have very weak genes + immune system as is evidenced by my yearly "should we call an ambulance? Can you make it to the car? Shit, call the ambulance" and I don't want to subject my offspring to this!!! Who thought genes were a good idea
i really like visiting cemeteries. there's nothing like hanging out with dead people
i gotta stop having these existential crises at work haaaahaa
